So kudos to Martin at City Bikes here in Tallinn for staying late to get my bike up and running! He appears to have done a great job and it looks like Love #3 (the bike) arrived with no problems. Moreover, and very importantly, the pack seems basically to hold everything and sit perfectly behind the bike, on the seat post. The one problem so far is that the small pack I normally use for tire-changing equipment in case of flats(http://www.fizik.it/catalog_accessories.aspx?subid=saddle_pak_small) doesn't fit when I have the Topeak bag on (the Topeak holder is supposed to have an elbow that drops it down a few inches, but my bike shop was out of these, so therein lies the problem). And while I found space for the equipment in the larger bag, there is no place to put the bag itself. I'll have to send it home, but since it is Sunday, I guess I'll have to put it in my shoe today.
So the lucky news is that, while it was raining when I went to bed, the rain stopped overnight. Drainage being what it is around here (that is to say, there isn't any!), the roads are still very wet. But with luck it will get better outside of the city.
So I'm off to a city called Marjamaa today, which is about 65 km to the south of here -- taking it easy on the first day!
